Let's Compare
On the way to work today, I was following a taxi (actually...a mini-van), and as I read the pricing painted on the rear window, I started thinking how "pricy" taxi rates are getting. Is it possible that cab service has come so far as to justify pricing that comes close to limousine service? Or is it possible that some services are cashing in on the misconception that, in the current economic downturn, "luxuries" like limousines are no longer within the financial reach of the average consumer?
I think it could be a little of both, but more likely it comes down to the average consumer not realizing how affordable chauffeured transportation can be. After all, the word limousine can conjure up visions of long cars filled with wealthy business executives, or Rock Stars poking through the moon roof screaming at their awestruck fans. However, the reality is that limousine services like O'Hare-Midway have proven to be a safe, reliable, and reasonably priced option for getting almost anywhere a taxi can go.
For clients going downtown, simple point-to-point pricing is available, which results in significant savings. And there is no need to assign a member of your party as your designated driver. Bring your own music, watch DVD's, or just relax. Your chauffeur handles the driving duties while you ride in carefree comfort.
O'Hare-Midway still offers shared rates to and from O'Hare Airport (only). This option serves our clients in a couple of ways. First there is the cost savings, which can be as much as 30% or more, just by giving us the opportunity to "possibly" put another shared rider (at a different location)in the car with them. Shared rides also work similarly to car pooling, so there is the "GREEN" element involved (by getting more than one client to the same destination in a single vehicle).
Our mini-coaches allow groups of (up to) 25 people to ride together in late model and well maintained vehicles driven by experienced professionals.
All chauffeurs and vehicles taking trips for O’Hare-Midway are properly licensed and insured, which adds a layer of security for our clients, something that can’t always be said in the ground transportation industry.
With everything going on in the world today, it would seem that choosing between a limousine and some other form of transportation might be insignificant. However, if it only cost $10.00 to ride in style and comfort over the cost of a cab, the choice is simple.
Now we just need to spread the word!
